2022 Winter Escape College Showcase

The Winter Escape College Showcase is one of the top  annual college recruiting showcases held in Florida each January.   We have attended the past couple of years it’s one of the best run tournaments around and great way to break up the cold winter with a trip to Florida.  

The NFHCA Winter Escape Showcase is a recruiting event with a mission to find every field hockey player their field hockey home — if you want to play field hockey at the next level, the Winter Escape Showcase is the place to get you there.

The event offers a holistic recruiting experience by providing learning opportunities, position-specific showcases, and, of course, an audience of hundreds of college field hockey coaches from every level!

The NFHCA Winter Escape Showcase is the most highly attended showcase in the country with over 300 college coaches packing the sidelines. The NFHCA Annual Convention is held in conjunction with the Winter Escape Showcase, making it attendance convenient for Division I, Division II, and Division III coaches.

Tournament Date:  January 14-16
Location: Boombah Sports Complex – 3450 E Lake Mary Blvd. Sanford, FL 32773
Guaranteed (5) 50 minute full field games
Showcase cost (per player):  $260 + $10 transaction fee (non-refundable) – Airfare and hotel extra.  We are planning to hold 1-2 practices on indoor turf prior to the Showcase.  The practice fee is additional and will be billed separately.
*Tournament cost is non-refundable.  Tournament host only issues credit if tournament is cancelled for any reason.  

Tryout information:

We have pre-registered one team for the Winter Escape.  No club affiliation required so players from any club are free to try out for the teams attending. 

Tryout date:  September 19, 2021
Location:  Sandwich High School (365 Quaker Meeting House Rd, East Sandwich, MA 02537)
Time: 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Cost: $35/player + $5 transaction fee (non-refundable)
Eligible ages:  U14, U16, U19

Refund policy

Most all of the participating clubs follow the same refund policy which is taken from the tournament host themselves.  

If the state of Florida prohibits the event from taking place due to COVID-19 restrictions and the event is cancelled CCFHC families will be refunded their Winter Escape fee minus a $30 non-refundable fee (per player).  This reflects the non-refundable amount charged to CCFHC by the tournament host.

If a player(s) were to withdraw from the team within 21 days of the event the entire Winter Escape fee will be non-refundable.  The short notice withdrawal leaves CCFHC is a difficult position trying to replace that player.

We will defer to the state of Massachusetts re-entry guidelines at the time of the event which may or may not require a period of quarantine and/or negative COVID-19 test to move freely about the community/school etc.  

These policies are subject to change based on state regulation.  COVID testing may or may not be required at the time of travel.
